Frequently Asked Questions

Arranging an appointment is easy! Just call our friendly receptionist at 6736 4142 or WhatsApp us at 81335609 and an appointment will be organized for you at your earliest convenience. Alternatively, use the Contact Us page of this website

Your first visit will incorporate the initial assessment and treatment. A detailed history of your present condition and medical status will be taken, followed by a thorough physical examination. The diagnosis of your present condition will be discussed with you, together with your treatment plan followed by the treatment.

Session time varies depending on the condition, but typically the initial consultation takes 1 hour and subsequent sessions take 45-60 minutes.

Yes. We can arrange home visits. We also have portable equipment that we can bring along if needed.

At Physio Asia Therapy Centre, we believe in Touch with Technology. We use evidence based treatment methods combined with the latest technology. Our therapists are regularly updating their skills and knowledge base so we can provide you with the best care. We do not believe in double-booking slots which means you will have your therapist’s undivided attention. We work closely with your Doctor, personal trainer or your team coach to help you recover from your injury and return to your best state as soon as possible.

This will depend on the assessment undertaken by your Physiotherapist. They will advise you on the frequency of sessions required accordingly.

We require at least 12 hours notice for all cancellations/rescheduling of appointments otherwise the missed session is considered chargeable. If you are running late for your appointment, the therapist will only be able to treat you for the remainder of the appointment time.

Yes, please inform the therapist if you have a pacemaker or if you are pregnant.

It is best to check with your insurance agent if your physio sessions are covered as this depends on your insurance policy. Some policies also require you to have a doctor’s referral for physiotherapy whilst others do not. Most insurance coverages require you to pay for your sessions first and then claim later.

We accept self-referrals as well as referrals from doctors.
It is not mandatory to consult a doctor prior to your physiotherapy session. Our physiotherapists are adept at assessing your condition and may recommend seeing a doctor after IF deemed necessary. However, if your insurance policy requires you do have a doctor’s referral for coverage of your physiotherapy sessions then it may be best to see the doctor prior.

Yes, inform the therapist if you have any of the following:

  • Pregnancy
  • Cardiac Pacemaker
  • Sensory deficits such as reduced skin sensations
  • History of seizures/epilepsy/fits
  • History of dizziness/vertigo triggered by certain positions
  • Any other medical condition which warrants attention
