Graduated as a Physiotherapist, she holds clinical experience of 30 years. Her experience includes working with the Singapore General Hospital, Mt. Elizabeth Medical Centre and in a private sector. She is also a registered member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) UK, HCPC (UK) and the Singapore Physiotherapy Association (MSPA).

She has gained over 21 years of experience in private practice and outpatient set-up and is involved in Clinical Services Management, protocol Developments and Operational Management for Out-Patient Services.

Monika’s strength lies in managing Clinical Orthopaedic Rehabilitation and Pain Management. Her main interest lies in Breathing mechanics and posture and alignment.

She is also involved in the development of SCORES – a spinal core stability program using Achievo Pressure Biofeedback and Real-Time Ultrasound that is presently being used in Physio Asia.

 

Major Accomplishments:

  • Presented on SCORES at Association of South-east Asian Pain Societies Congress (ASEAPS 2015) in Manila, Philippines
  • Invited to present at Rehabilitative Ultrasound Imaging (RUSI) International Symposium (2015) at the Samsung Medical Center in Seoul, Korea
  • Conducted Pre-congress workshop on SCORES with Felicity Kermode at World Lumbo-Pelvic Pain Congress, Singapore (2016)
  • Invited speaker at physiotherapy convention Apollo hospitals Delhi, India (2017)
  • Conducts training sessions for SCORES in South East Asia including Malaysia, Korea, Philippines and India.
  • Conducts talks for corporates on ergonomics, posture corrections and back n neck pain in Singapore.
  • Establishing standards in the organisation to help achieve the various awards for Physio Asia Therapy Centre
  • Monika also mentors undergraduate/postgraduate physiotherapy students from USA or Singapore on clinical placements.

A Physiotherapist and MBA-Gold Medallist, an accomplished Professional and an Entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience, Dinesh is also the Director of Physio Asia Therapy Centre. He plays a strategic development role towards the growth of the clinic and its franchise and licensing models. He is actively involved in development of new technologies and has key competencies in Electro-Physical Agents.

Dinesh has keen interest in Technology development and implementation and is actively involved in development of such new technologies – He is founder of SCORES- spinal core stability program– that uses Imaging Ultrasound and Pressure biofeedback as an integrated system for Back and Neck Pain Management.

Dinesh has conducted over 50 workshops on Electro-Physical Agents and Electro-Therapy Applications for Swallowing disorders across Asia, Australia, Italy and Spain and has led to the growth of this technique across Asia Pacific.

Dinesh also served as the President of Singapore Physiotherapy Association Year 2012 – 2014 and currently serving as Secretary General of AWP-WCPT and Co-Chairperson of World Lumbo Pelvic Pain Congress Singapore concluded in Nov 2016.

Monika Verma, Senior PT, AHPC registered

Managing Director

Danielle Barratt, Senior PT, AHPC registered

BSc (Physiotherapy) Specializing in Women’s health, BA (Business Admin) , Graduate Dip. Acupuncture

Danielle has over 22 years’ experience in providing holistic physiotherapy care for adults and children of all ages. Qualifying as a physiotherapist in 1996 (Australia), Danielle has worked both in the public and private health care systems in Australia, UK and Singapore. She is a registered member of SPA (Singapore), Incontinence Association (Australia) and HCPC (UK).

Through personal experience and clinical practice Danielle’s passion is in the prevention and management of chronic pain both pre and post pregnancy. She is also passionate about empowering her clients (both male and female) with the knowledge to develop their inner core muscle strength, strengthen their pelvic floors, and lower back and abdominal muscles, so that they maintain a happy active life style.

Danielle’s treatment approach involves a combination of physiotherapy skills, a functional approach to postures and movements and life skills.

Danielle has a post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Physiotherapy (Continence & Woman’s Health), and is now working towards the completion of her Master’s in Women’s Health. She is also the only certified Manutention Manual and Patient Handler Trainer in Singapore;  certified in safe handling (transfer and movement) of patients, heavy loads, people with disabilities and or injuries, safe ergonomic postures and movements for sports, daily functioning and working at the office.

Kalidass G. Murugan, Senior PT, AHPC registered

M.Sc. Physiotherapy (Australia) 

Graduating locally from the physiotherapy programme in Singapore Kalidass did Masters of Advanced Clinical Physiotherapy(Musculoskeletal) from the University of South Australia.

Kalidass has gained vast working experience at public hospital & private clinic treating Musculoskeletal, Sports injuries & post-operative management for 7 years . Kalidass has served with Team Singapore as a physiotherapist in the medical team in SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games in 2015.

Kalidass is specialized in treating spinal problems, shoulders, sports related injuries with a special interest in lower limb rehabilitation (ACL / Knee injuries) and injury prevention. He is well equipped to manage a large range of injuries and conditions using manual therapy techniques, functional movement analysis, motor-control assessment and corrective exercises. He gains satisfaction in rehabilitating clients back to their functions and sporting activities to their optimum level.

Kalidass also does public talks and teaches undergraduate physiotherapy students on clinical placements. In his spare time, he enjoys playing football, boxing, running and yoga.

 

Gitanjali Ramesh, Senior PT, AHPC registered

BPT, MIAP, FISAF-Certified in Aqua Therapy

Gitanjali has over 16 years of professional experience gained across reputed hospitals and clinics. She is well versed in a broad range of therapies like Manual therapy, Electrotherapy and Exercise therapy. Her key focus areas are clinical orthopaedic rehabilitation and pain management. She has specialised skills in the Bio-mechanical aspect of musculoskeletal rehabilitation, including APOS therapy and ICB Orthotics. Having undertaken various trainings with “Running Injury Clinic” from Canada, she is also a specialist with our 3D-GaitLab system, the most advanced running injury diagnostic tool in the world.

Gitanjali is also a FISAF certified Aqua Fitness Therapist. She uses Aqua therapy greatly for core strengthening, post-operative rehabilitation, Arthritis management and weight management.

Her passion is to to positively influence her patients by actively engaging with them as also by way of a holistic usage of the above mentioned tools.

Swati Prakash, PT, AHPC registered

BSc (Physiotherapy), MSc. Physiotherapy (UK)

 

Qualifying as a physiotherapist in 2002, Swati completed her masters in neuromusculoskeletal healthcare (Keele University UK) in 2006.

She is a registered member of HCPC (UK) APHRA (Australia), MAPA (Australia), MIAP (India)

Having worked across a variety of settings, clinical as well as research in UK, Australia and India besides regular physiotherapy, she also had been conducting Hydrotherapy classes in community care. Her main interest is in Musculo- skeletal physiotherapy.

Swati is involved in clinical development of protocols, Clinical standards and Physio Asia Academy to help co-ordinate clinic’s educational activities locally and overseas.

Rane Ng, PT, AHPC registered

DPT (Singapore)

Graduating locally from the physiotherapy programme in Singapore, Rane has had clinical experience working in various acute and community hospitals under principal and senior physiotherapists that has helped shaped her into the therapist she is today.

She volunteered her time doing physiotherapy for the elderly in nursing homes during her course of study and has grown a strong interest for geriatrics and cardiopulmonary physiotherapy.

Rane also has had experience working in a sports clinic treating musculoskeletal sports injuries and progressing dancers and athlete’s strength training programmes.

Her main goal is to ensure that her patients are able to achieve their maximum functional potential and be able to enjoy their lives with the best experience.

Nazish Ghani, Operations Executive

BSc (Physiotherapy)

Nazish helps to ensure smooth operations at the clinic as well as overseeing a high level of quality assurance and safety for all clinic infrastructure, clinical equipment. She also helps in daily operations of the clinic.

Siti Nurzaila, Admin / Clinic Assistant

Zaila is an integral part of the team here at Physio Asia. Her bubbly personality, team player mentality and organized mind make her the perfect choice for our receptionist.
