Pooja Verma

Graduating with a Physiotherapy degree from Curtin University in Australia and a Master’s degree in Performing Arts Medicine from London, Pooja has had experience working in various clinical settings including neurological, cardiopulmonary, women’s health, musculoskeletal and performing arts settings in Australia, Singapore and UK. Pooja is also AHPC Certified.

Pooja has also had experience working at a leading specialist performing arts clinic in London where she practised performance and vocal physiotherapy and has worked with numerous WestEnd shows, circus artists, singers, dancers, actors, bands, musicians, local and international artists.

She has also presented her research in Performing Arts Medicine at various international conferences and is actively involved in the Performing Arts Medicine community both locally and internationally.

Pooja’s main interest lies in Rehab for Performing Artists and in Vocal Physiotherapy.

Pooja is a certified GEMt Level 1 Dry Needler and has been certified in IMM for hypermobility by EDS ECHO.

She is very active in the circus/aerial arts community and practices both aerial silks and aerial hoop herself. She is well versed in vocal, dance and performance related injuries.

Sharifah Shwikar Aljunied

Shwikar holds an experience of 26 years in sports and Musculo-skeletal injuries and she started her career at the Singapore Sports Council and worked there for about 18 years. She worked with the National athletes (all sports), managing their sports injuries and also injury prevention. She travelled with the different teams for their major games as well as major games such as the 2000 Sydney Olympics, 2004 Athens Paralympics, numerous SEA Games and Asian games. Shwikar is also AHPC Certified.

Since leaving sports council, she worked with some private clinics as well as Football Association Singapore and Singapore Sports School. Prior to joining Physio Asia she had been in private practice working with several schools, including dance schools.

On top of clinical work, she also taught in Sports Trainer course, Sports Massage course and Taping workshops.

Peter Limb

Peter has over 15 years of clinical experience: home-care, and on-site public and private practice in Singapore and Australia. Graduating with a Physiotherapy degree from the University of Sydney in 1999, he has treated a wide range of conditions – from adults to children with pain and mobility impairments as well as office and home-based workers to sports enthusiasts with pain.

Peter is a certified practitioner of FMI RockTape, IASTM tools, and Trigger Point Therapy all of which he finds helpful in treating musculoskeletal disorders. His keen interest is in the Shoulder and Spine injuries, and is currently developing other interests in dry needling and electrotherapy. Peter is also AHPC Certified.

He enjoys learning about his clients and their expectations for their physiotherapy visits and aims to empower them by helping them make informed decisions for their recovery, based on their lifestyle needs. Peter is constantly driven to learn “how to learn” from his clients by listening to them and offering better solutions to their problems.

His guiding thoughts on a patient-centric, holistic approach focuses on two things: 1) encouraging the body’s natural healing processes through physiotherapy and wellness, and 2) utilizing the latest technology in physiotherapy, driven by evidence-based science.

Wei Ling Koh

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) with First Class Honours (Sydney), Master of Dance Science (London)

Wei Ling is a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist with close to seven years of experience. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) with First Class Honours from Sydney (2017), and a Master of Dance Science from London (2025). She is fully qualified to practise in Singapore and the United Kingdom.

Her clinical practice covers a range of musculoskeletal conditions, including chronic overuse injuries, post-operative rehabilitation and return to sports. She is trained in dry needling and is committed to evidence-informed, patient-centred care.

In the UK, Wei Ling supported the healthcare team at the Royal Ballet School, delivering strength and conditioning programmes and dancer physical profiling. Alongside her clinical work, she is a pole dance instructor who has taught in Singapore and the UK, and possesses international performance experience which informs her understanding of the physical and psychological demands of the performing arts.

Michelle Stanley

Rehab Therapist

B.Sc Hons Physiotherapy (Malaysia)

Michelle Stanley is a dedicated Rehab Therapist at Physio Asia, where she works closely alongside our physiotherapists to support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey. She also holds a Certificate in Sports Massage.

In her role, Michelle assists in implementing treatment plans designed by our physiotherapists. She guides patients through prescribed stretching programmes, supervised exercise therapy, and follow-up rehabilitation sessions to ensure correct technique, safety, and progression. Her calm and encouraging approach helps patients feel supported and motivated as they progress toward their recovery goals.

She works collaboratively within the clinical team to ensure patients receive structured, supervised, and consistent rehabilitation support.

Candace Ong

A BSc Physiotherapist since 2011, Candace graduated from Queen Margaret University and is registered with AHPC. Specializing in paediatric care, she offers tailored treatments for children with various conditions like Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Genetic Disorders, Developmental Delays, Musculoskeletal and Sporting conditions. Certified in DMI introductory level A, NDT and the Key worker Model, she focuses on empowering families to integrate therapy strategies into daily life. With the privilege of serving children with multiple disabilities in China and representing Singapore in an Adaptive Swimming Program, Candace finds great joy in enabling a child to discover, develop and thrive in their unique gifts and abilities despite their physical disabilities.

Sobbana Bala

Sobbana is a valued member of the team at Physio Asia Therapy Centre Orchard. She supports the clinical team with administrative tasks to enhance workflow efficiency. With a background in healthcare administration and a passion for organisational effectiveness, she is dedicated to creating a welcoming and professional environment for both our team and our patients.

Siti Nurzaila

Zaila is an integral part of the team here at Physio Asia centre at Orchard. Her bubbly personality, team player mentality and organized mind make her the perfect choice for our receptionist. She has a great personality with a very pleasant appearance and excellent communication skills. Whether you are calling with a query, to make an appointment or settling your bill at the end of a successful session you will find her to be extremely helpful and professional.

Junaidah Binter Mohamed Salleh

Junaidah Binte Mohamed Salleh is the admin and clinic assistant of our Siglap centre branch. She is a focused and committed worker with her years of experience in the service industry, being proactive towards customers’ needs and responsive to any queries. She is tactful and exudes warmth to everyone she meets.

She is a family person and loves travelling.
